Northgate Shopping Center

Project Details

  • Delivery Method | General Contractor
  • Year | 2019
  • Location | Garden City, Idaho

The 125,000 square foot original Northgate Shopping Center was built in 1984 and inherently sported an “80’s” appearance. The new upgrade to the façade modernized and updated the shopping center with a blue, slate and white look that includes metal panels and a dry stack stone cladding treatment. Stell trellises were added in sections to the “anchor type” stores including Rite Aid, the Liquor Store, and Reel Theatre. This is a much needed “facelift” for an extremely busy intersection of State Street and Glenwood and elevates the feel and appearance of Garden City.

All businesses continued normal operation throughout the life of the project. Coordinating with individual tenants on access and off-hour shut downs was required. This necessitated extreme schedule agility and mandated starting and stopping of work and completing work out of sequence. Despite this challenge, the schedule was adhered to and was completed as contract dictated.
